The short version: gameplay works offline. Your game progress stays on your device. New builds offer optional Sentry diagnostics and voluntary problem reports. Automatic sharing is off by default. TestFlight and support messages involve additional information, explained below.

About this policy

This policy explains how Teeds, the creator behind the Teeds Games brand ("we", "us" or "our"), handles information when you play the current PixelPuck iOS beta, use TestFlight to test it, or contact us. Our privacy and support contact is ttkremerbusiness@gmail.com.

PixelPuck is a single-player hockey game. You do not need to create a PixelPuck account or provide your real name to play. Gameplay works offline. The game stores its progress and settings on your device. Testing through Apple's TestFlight service involves additional information described below.

Information stored on your device

PixelPuck stores the information needed to run and remember your game, including:

  • Your chosen manager name and appearance, club choices, team and player information, roster changes, match results, statistics, season history and tutorial progress.
  • In-game funds, facilities, staff, shop stock and other game progression. These are game records, not payment-card or bank details.
  • Uniform, equipment and arena customizations.
  • Preferences such as sound levels, vibration, camera shake, reduced motion and tutorial options.
  • Save backups and preserved recovery copies, together with generated visual caches that help the game load efficiently.

A nickname is sufficient for your manager name. Avoid entering sensitive personal information. PixelPuck does not upload full save files or provide an account-based cloud-save service. Optional diagnostic reports may include limited game context as described below. Your operating system may include local app data in device backups, depending on your device and backup settings.

The game may write local diagnostic messages about errors and technical performance. Additional audio and startup diagnostics are used in development builds. PixelPuck does not automatically upload its raw log files to us.

Optional diagnostics and in-game problem reports

Starting with builds that include Settings → Help & Diagnostics, you can choose to share automatic diagnostics with Teeds at Teeds Games through Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.). This option is off by default. The Sentry reporting service is initialized only after you opt in and only in a configured build. Older builds without this feature do not send these reports. You can play offline and use all gameplay features without enabling it.

Automatic reports can include crashes, script and engine errors, application hangs, save-write failures, loading failures and recovery outcomes, loading and save durations, sampled frame timing, and available rendering-memory measurements. Technical context includes app version and build, operating system and device model, limited game state such as the screen, match phase, arena style, period, score, save-slot index and save-format version, and a short sequence of game-state changes. Diagnostic identifiers may include random session or installation identifiers used by the SDK. They are not advertising identifiers. Sentry also receives ordinary network connection information when reports are delivered.

We do not automatically send full saves, chosen manager or player names, email addresses, screenshots, raw log files, scene trees, or script-local variable values. Reports use an allowlist of game fields and redact common personal values from error messages. Technical reports may still contain information you do not expect. Do not enter sensitive personal information in the game.

Turning automatic sharing off stops new automatic collection and closes the reporting service. Already delivered reports cannot be recalled by this switch. Reports queued while sharing was on may already be in transit or may be delivered if you enable sharing again. The game does not initialize Sentry while automatic sharing is off. Contact us about deletion of reports we control. Include a report ID if you have one.

You can also use Report a Problem without enabling automatic sharing. Tapping Send Report sends your description, app/build and operating-system details, limited game context and recent game-state breadcrumbs directly to Sentry for us to investigate. A screenshot is included only if you select the option and review its preview. The screenshot may show your manager name or other visible information. No photo-library access is needed. Leave out personal or sensitive information. Reports require a connection. Failed reports are not automatically retried or saved to disk. The form reports whether delivery was confirmed and provides a report ID.

We use this information to find and fix bugs, improve performance, and respond to feedback. We do not use it for advertising, cross-app tracking or selling personal information. Sentry processes these app-origin reports as our service provider, with data stored in the United States for this project and subject to its security, retention and processing arrangements. We limit access to people maintaining the game and retain reports only as needed for those purposes and within the service's configured retention periods. See https://sentry.io/privacy/ for Sentry's privacy information. This collection is separate from Apple's TestFlight service. We do not copy Apple-provided TestFlight reports into Sentry.

Information from Apple TestFlight

When you test through TestFlight, Apple automatically collects beta usage and crash information and shares it with the app developer. This can include build and installation information, device and operating-system details, sessions and crashes. With email invitations, your name and email address may also be visible to us. Public-link invitations are handled differently by Apple.

If you choose to send TestFlight feedback, we may receive your comments, screenshots and associated technical details. Check screenshots before sending them. They may contain your chosen manager name or other visible information.

We use this information to administer the beta, investigate problems and improve PixelPuck. TestFlight's automatic collection cannot be disabled while participating in the beta. You can stop testing through TestFlight. Apple controls its service and its own retention practices. Read Apple's TestFlight & Privacy notice: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/data/en/test-flight/

Information you send to support

If you email us, we receive the address you use, your message and any attachments or other information you choose to provide. We use this information to respond, investigate the issue, handle privacy requests and maintain necessary support records.

Please do not send passwords, payment details, identity documents or unrelated sensitive information. We do not need your Apple Account password. Sending us a screenshot, diagnostic file or save file is your choice. Those files may include information you entered into the game. Your email service and the provider hosting our support mailbox process message delivery under their own terms and privacy policies.

Advertising, tracking and sharing

The current game has no advertising, cross-app tracking, in-app purchases, public profiles, messaging or user-uploaded public content. Its optional Sentry diagnostics and voluntary reports are described above. It does not request access to your contacts, precise location, camera, microphone or photo library for gameplay. Artwork and audio are provided with the game. Playing does not require an account with the tools used to create them.

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We do not share TestFlight crash, usage or feedback information with third parties. App-origin diagnostics and voluntary in-game reports are handled through Sentry as described above. Support correspondence is handled through the communications service described above. We may disclose information when legally required to do so, while limiting any disclosure to what is required and respecting restrictions applicable to beta information.

Retention and deletion

Local game data stays on your device until you change or remove it, or remove the app's data. Deleting a normal save slot removes its current save and routine backup. Copies preserved during damaged-save recovery or replacement are retained separately on the device. Clearing a slot does not erase those preserved copies. Settings and visual caches are also separate from individual save slots.

On iOS, use Delete App to remove the installed app and its local data. Offload App retains app data. Device or cloud backups can retain older copies and are managed separately through your Apple settings. Reinstalling or restoring a device backup may restore backed-up app data. We cannot remotely read, recover or delete the local data on your device.

We retain support correspondence and any copies of beta reports that we control only for as long as needed to address the reported issue, manage the beta and satisfy applicable legal obligations. We delete or anonymize retained information when those purposes no longer apply. Information Apple holds in TestFlight remains subject to Apple's own retention and deletion rules.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can use a nickname, turn optional diagnostics on or off in Settings → Help & Diagnostics, choose whether to send a problem report or screenshot, contact support, change game preferences, delete local saves or app data, and stop participating in the beta.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of or a copy of personal information we hold, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact ttkremerbusiness@gmail.com. We may ask for enough information to verify that the request concerns you, without requesting unnecessary identification. We will respond as required by applicable law. Requests to us cover information we control. We cannot remove information held independently by Apple or your email provider.

Where applicable, we process information to provide requested support and beta access, pursue our legitimate interests in making the game reliable and secure, or meet legal obligations. Where consent is required, we will obtain it. We do not use personal information to make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. You may also contact your local privacy regulator where that right applies.

Children

The game does not require a child to provide personal information to play. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, or the higher age requiring parental consent under applicable law. Apple sets eligibility and account requirements for TestFlight. If a parent or guardian believes a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and remove information we control as appropriate. Do not include a child's real name or other private information in a manager name or feedback screenshot.

Security, service providers and links

We limit our handling of personal information to the purposes in this policy. No storage or communication method can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device and email account, and avoid sharing private information in game names or support attachments.

Apple, Sentry and communications providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their handling of information is governed by their applicable privacy notices and safeguards. Opening a website or email action from the game uses your device's browser or email app. The destination service may receive ordinary connection information. Reading the privacy policy inside PixelPuck does not require a network connection.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy when PixelPuck's information practices change, show the effective date, and provide additional notice or request consent when required. We will review this policy before introducing online services, advertising, purchases or new data collection.

The PixelPuck website is a static informational site. It does not use advertising pixels, analytics scripts, tracking cookies, accounts, or a newsletter database. Its fonts and artwork, videos, and audio samples are served with the site. Decorative animation follows your device’s reduced-motion setting. Videos and audio play only when you choose to start them.

For visits served through Google Firebase Hosting, Google processes connection information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and secure the website. Google’s infrastructure and retention practices are governed by its own terms and notices. See Firebase privacy and security information.

Email links open your mail application. No message is sent until you send it. The information you then provide is handled as support correspondence under this policy. Links to Apple, Google, or other services take you to services governed by their own privacy notices.
